By now, you know how much we love Lake Superior, but her frigid waters are so exposed on our shores that conditions can change in a moment. However, as one goes east towards the Canadian border, the topography changes and there are offshore islands that serve as a bit of a buffer, and protected bays with dramatic cliffs. Little Trout Bay in Ontario is only about an hour’s drive from Grand Marais, and the start of some of the best sea kayaking you’ll find.
This full-day trip takes about seven hours and includes everything you need for a day on the water: kayak, paddle, PFD, wetsuit (this lake is cold!), transportation, fees, and lunch. You’ll need to bring your passport, sun protection, and plenty of water.
Price is per person. Each tour has a two-person minimum, and six guest maximum per guide.
