The best weekend of the year for paddlers
We look forward to the North Shore Water Festival every year! It’s a weekend of paddling nirvana: The Paddling Film Festival. Free paddling demos in the harbor. Free SUP yoga classes. Join us here in Grand Marais, July 19-21, 2019.
2019 World Tour Paddling Film Festival
The Film Festival is $10. Our 2019 Film Festival is Friday, July 19, 2019. We start with a casual dinner and beverages at 5:30 p.m. and the film begins rolling at 6:00. After the thrilling explorations of rivers, lakes and oceans, join us for a beach bonfire and stand up paddle boarding in the East Bay (weather permitting).
Paddling Demo Days
The Paddling Demo Days are free. Are you an experienced paddler who wants to see the latest gear or brand new to the paddling sports? It doesn’t matter because we’ve got something for you at our Paddling Demo Days. We bring in our favorite vendors and the latest gear for you to try. We also have plenty of experts to make sure you know the proper paddling techniques and how to stay safe. And yes, it all takes place right on Lake Superior on July 20-21, 2019.
Water Festival SUP yoga
Water Festival SUP yoga is free but the class size is limited. Yoga, stand up paddle boarding (SUP) and Gitchigami? Oh, we are so in! It doesn’t matter if you are an experienced yogi or paddle boarder, or if you are new to all of it — our SUP yoga offers a fun way to get your om on. Don’t let the added element of water scare you off — we’ve structured the class so beginners and experts alike can feel at peace. And the savasana at the end is pure bliss. Don’t know what savasana is? We’re not going to spoil it for you — just sign up to experience it for yourself, July 20-21, 2019.
