Seasons are always changing and as we move into the winter season, we find we could use some hard working people to join our staff. If you enjoy working with people and love the outdoors, we may have a fit for you. Over the winter months, the job may be up to 30 hours a week with the possibility of more hours come next summer. We are looking for folks with a variety of outdoor experience, such as paddle sports, camping (winter & summer), fishing, rock and ice climbing cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
We are also looking for winter guides for ice climbing, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. And now that we have seen our first snowflakes of the season, it is time for us to turn our attention to guides for next summer. Already you say? This gives you the winter to relax and know what you are going to do next summer. Now is the time to find summer housing in Grand Marais. It also gives you a chance to update certifications in your area of expertise. We are looking for kayaking, canoeing, fishing and climbing guides.
We require at least a Wilderness First Aid certificate for all guides. (Wilderness First Responder is all the better.) Climbing guides need to be top rope certified. Kayak guides need ACA certification. We can help you find these certification courses. Some are offered locally and others may be offered through a nearby college.
Let us know your area of expertise and let’s see if you can fit in. Please contact Beth or Tom at 218-387-3572 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
