Celebrate Father’s Day 2013 with your family and friends on the Minnesota River!
Your Father’s Day weekend begins at Moonstone Farm in Montevideo where you’ll meet to to eat lunch and go over trip protocol and safety. A representative from CURE (Clean Up Our River Environment) will join you to to discuss their work on the Minnesota River. Then you’ll depart on the Minnesota River and paddle 15 miles to a campground just north of Granite Falls.
On Father’s Day, a Minnesota DNR Fisheries Department educator will be there to teach you and your dad how to catch, filet and cook fish. Then you’ll portage over the Granite Falls dam and get picked up by Minnesota Falls. Your trip ends late in the afternoon, so you can still make it home for dinner.
