Linda Lemke, the Nordic Walking Queen, will be in Grand Marais to demonstrate Nordic walking on June 15th. But this is much more than a demonstration! We’ll start off at our store and after Linda’s brief presentation, you will get the opportunity to try Nordic walking for yourself when we transport you to beautiful Croftville Road.
About Nordic Walking

It’s less stressful to your joints, burns more calories, increases your oxygen consumption and your heart rate, adds stability and balance, and relaxes your mind while increasing your coordination.
Anyone can do it, regardless of fitness level or age and you can walk right out your front door to get started. All you need is a good pair of walking shoes and a set of poles. Once you’re walking with poles you’ll also be able to use them for stretching and strengthening moves.
About the Nordic Walking Queen
Linda Lemke is known as the Nordic Walking Queen. She has a degree in Recreation from the University of Utah and has been in the outdoor recreation industry for more than 25 years, specializing in womens and childrens activities. Linda has been a fitness walker since 1984 and became a Nordic Walk Now Team Trainer in 2006. She has introduced more than 2,500 individuals to Nordic walking.
