Grand Opening Event Highlights
Thanks to everyone who came out to Stone Harbor’s Grand Opening last weekend! We had a great time with special events and discounts throughout the store. We’re proud to say that a portion of our sales also went to support two great local organizations, Kids Plus and the Cook County Schools Booster Club. We also gave the following items away to these lucky winners:

We also enjoyed a delicious, winning one-pot cookoff dish from Kait & Anne Redborg. They made us Smoked Trout Ravioli with a Marscapone Cream Sauce – believe it or not, they DO actually cook like that on the trail. The meal incorporated all fresh ingredients, including handmade pasta. All materials used were BWCA approved, down to the white wine in Nalgene bottles, which was used in the sauce and to drink with the meal. They even toasted the bread and garnished it all with fresh parsley. Delicious! We hope to have the recipe from them soon, so we can share it with you!

To the left, we have men's clothing.
And to the right, clothing for women and kids, plus some kids toys/gifts.
Toward the back is a shoe section, as well as an area filled with gorgeous canoes and kayaks.
And to the right is maps and fishing gear.
Including kick boats, rods, sunglasses - and a whole heckuva lot of hand tied flies.
There is a cozy nook in the back with a fireplace, sofa, and unique local gifts and artwork.
Here's a better look at some of the shoes, from the steps up to the mezzanine.
In the mezzanine, we keep a wide variety of camping gear.
Including tents, sleeping bags, bear barrels, and much more - perfect for your trip into the BWCA!

In a few months, we’ll be all about snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ice climbing, winter camping and more. Stone Harbor Guests Share Trip Highlights
Gary Binger and Pam Luer of Minneapolis recently enjoyed a kayak tour with guide Frank Moe, and shared these great pictures with us:

After their tour at Stone Harbor, Pam and Gary enjoyed a session with local yoga instructor Sherri Moe (left) - who also happens to be Frank's wife!
“Pam and I are still talking about our trip to Grand Marais and selling Stone Harbor every chance we get (including me showing off my new lighted water bottle [that Jack] hooked me up with!” Gary told us in an email when he sent these pictures. “We can’t wait to come back!”
